For my client game I was required to make a cave game with the objective to get from point A to point B. Along the way there are obstacles such as barriers and enemies. There are also coins for players who want to put in extra effort for a reward.
This game is a top-down maze/adventure game. There was going to be more than one character, but it was too difficult and complex for the player to switch to and from. Instead I concluded that it would be more fun to focus on one player for simplicity. Between levels there is a short interlude to display coins bonus coins and the level.
