Escape From Heck! is a platformer game where you play as an angel trying to escape from hell while being chased by a massive wall of death and watched by the devil. The objective of the game is to outrun the wall of death, dodging lava and obstacles, and jumping over gaps in the scenery to get to the portal at the end of the room. The highlight of the game for me is the animated devil that follows you as you continue through the level, it was originally to follow the camera, but I couldn’t figure it out in time so it follows the player character instead. I’m proud of the wall of death mechanic and the player and portal sprites, unfortunately I ran out of time to polish the other sprites so especially the platform sprites look a little rudimentary. You use the left and right arrow keys to move and the up arrow key to jump, good luck friend!
