The Blaid is a assistive device for people with visual impairment, to assist with walking. The design is a walking stick with a proximity sensor attached to the base of the stick, with wheels added for support. The sensor makes a beeping sound when in close proximity to objects, notifying the user when they are about to walk into an object. The Blaid has a volume dial attached to the top of the stick, giving the user the ability to change the volume of the device to appropriately match the volume of the setting. e.g louder at a concert.
