Modular Storage Cubes

THE FINAL PRODUCT

Many artists have struggles with keeping their workspace tidy and organised without putting everything in draws or cluttering up their station with impractical desk organisers that aren’t satisfying to look at or that leave lots of empty space that could be used far more efficiently.

The aim for my storage boxes include:

  1. A neat and practical way to store art supplies.
  2. To cater to as many different people’s needs as possible.
  3. To make the product slot together and be modular.
  4. For the clients to arrange the boxes however they need to fit their situation.
  5. To be easy to 3D print.
  6. For the boxes to be cheap, sturdy, and easy to produce.

Who is it for?

  • My friend with a messy workspace

What will it hold?

  • Art supplies e.g. pens, pencils, paint brushes, rulers, etc.

The success criteria were:

  1. It needs to hold most of my client’s art supplies they use on a daily basis in a convenient fashion
  2. To be modular and connect in at least 3 configurations
  3. For my client to be happy with the aesthetic of the final product
